Is professor in applied linguistics at the School of Language Sciences at Universidad del Valle. He holds a master's and a PhD degree in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching from the University of Arizona. Currently, he is the Coordinator of the Major in ELT Education in the area of intercultural communication in the Interinstitutional Doctoral Program at Universidad del Valle. His latest publications include Roadblocks to intercultural mobility: Indigenous students' journeys in Colombian universities (with Wagner, Journal of Intercultural Communication Education) and Colombians' Sociocultural Representations of French and U.S. Citizens: Delving into Intercultural Perceptions (with Le Gal, Journal of International & Intercultural Communication).
is an Associate professor in English and Linguistics at the School of Language Sciences, Universidad del Valle. He holds a Bachelor in Foreign Languages and a Master's degree in Linguistics, both degrees from Universidad del Valle (Cali, Colombia). He teaches a wide array of linguistics and language courses for the Foreign Languages Teaching Program, the Master's Program in Crosslinguistic and Intercultural Studies, and the Vocational Training Program in Interpretation for the Deaf and the Deaf-Blind.
She is the Coordinator of the postgraduate study programs at the School of Language Sciences: the Master's Program in Crosslinguistic and Intercultural Studies, and the Master's Program in Linguistics and Spanish. She is a professor in French and Education research at the School of Language Sciences, Universidad del Valle. She holds a PhD in Language Sciences: Linguistics and Language Teaching from Université Sorbonne Paris Cité. Currently, she is an active member of EILA and Traduterm research groups.
holds a PhD in Education from Universidad Santo Tomás, an MA in British Cultural Studies and ELT from the University of Warwick and an MA in Applied Linguistics to TEFL from Universidad Distrital. He is the Academic Director of the BA in Bilingual Education at ÚNICA. He has been a teacher of the Languages Department at Universidad Central, the BA programs in Spanish and Languages and Spanish and English at Universidad Pedagógica Nacional and the BA in Modern Languages at Universidad Javeriana. He is a guest lecturer for the MA in Language Teaching at UPTC. is an Associate professor at Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC). She holds a PhD in Education Sciences from the UPTC. She also holds an MA in Applied Linguistics from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas. She belongs to the research group "TONGUE." She has co-authored English textbooks and published research books and articles related to English language teaching, pre-service teachers' identities construction and interculturality.
holds a PhD in Education Sciences from UPTC and an MA in Education, a Specialization in International Economics, and a BA in Hotel and Tourism Business Management from Universidad Externado de Colombia, where she is an associate professor and the leader of the research line on Materials Development at the Master's Programme in Education with Emphasis on English Didactics. She also holds a Diploma in Linguistic Studies from University of Essex, Colchester, England, and on Child Rights Classroom and School Management from Lund University, Sweden. She has authored EFL texbooks and published research books and articles related to teacher developed EFL materials, their cultural content, their role in English learning, and coloniality of being, knowledge, and power in EFL textbooks.
